Why store wine in Members' Reserves?

About Members' Reserves

Using the online checkout, or when placing a phone or post order, you can choose to put wines into Reserves. Wines can be added in 6-bottle cases, either mixed by you, or as originally sold. For rare wines where the Wine Society has limited the sales quantity, these can be added as individual bottles.

Our website, offers and Lists give drinking windows for wines that would benefit from further bottle age. Wines from a Vintage Cellar Plan can also be stored in Members’ Reserves (the first year's storage is free) as well as wines bought en primeur. Alternatively, contact our team of Fine Wine Advisers, who will be very pleased to help.

We offer one of the lowest cost wine storage services in the UK. The annual rental charge for Members' Reserves is £9.96 per 12-bottle case per year, inclusive of VAT and insurance at replacement value, and is charged annually in advance.

You withdraw wines via your account in a matter of clicks. Alternatively, call us on 01438 741177.

Your wine can be withdrawn in the same way in which it was originally stored (either as a full case of a single wine, a pre-mixed or member-mixed case, or individual bottles where we restricted the amount for sale) at any time. Delivery is free to a UK address.

Alternatively, you can choose to remove any number of bottles from your Reserves (except for pre-mixed and member-mixed cases which must be withdrawn as a full case). Bottle withdrawal will remain free of charge if you are taking out three or more bottles of the same wine at a time. A £10 handling charge will apply if you are withdrawing fewer than three bottles of the same wine.
