When joining The Wine Society, enter your referrer’s name and email address in the referral field provided during sign-up.
Your referrer will qualify once you’ve joined The Wine Society and made your first purchase. Their incentive will be added to their account within 30 days of your first purchase, with credits issued up to 30th April 2027.
Yes. Your new member credit is covered by our separate new member join terms and conditions.
You must join between 29 October 2026 and 31 December 2026 and enter your referrer’s details during sign up.
You must make your first purchase by 31 March 2027 for your referrer to qualify for their £20 incentive.

Gift Membership frequently asked questions
A gift membership is quick and simple, and entitles the recipient to a lifetime membership of The Wine Society. We’ll let them know that they’ve been bought membership and details on how to claim it. We’ll either send them the information through the post or by email, whichever you prefer, and once they’ve redeemed their membership, we’ll send them a welcome pack and share certificate.
Like all new members, they’ll be given £20 to spend on their first order (valid for their first six months of membership).
If you choose for the gift to be sent to them by email (or request it to be sent to your own email address to pass on to them), it will be sent within an hour.
If you choose for the gift to be delivered by post, then their welcome pack should be with them within six working days.
Due to GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) laws, new members need to sign up for membership themselves. There is no extra payment to be made by them; we just require them to give us their information and consent to become a member.
Yes. The gift recipient will have 2 years from the date the membership is purchased to redeem it.
Whilst we very much hope that membership of The Wine Society would be a welcome gift for any wine lover, recipients who do not wish to claim their membership can pass it on to someone else to use. Unfortunately, the membership can’t be exchanged for cash or wine to the same value.
In this case, the recipient can choose to either pass the gift onto someone else to redeem for membership, or they can take the value of the gift as a credit on their share to spend on wine or events.
To qualify for your £20 incentive, purchase a gift membership during the promotional period. The recipient must redeem their membership and make their first purchase by 31st March 2027.
