Nebbiolo wines

The heroic grape of Piedmont is the driving force behind Barolo and Barbaresco. Translated as the ‘foggy one’ it is famously tannic at its most serious and requires, and rewards infinite patience. Distinctive aromas are tar and roses. DOC Alba and Langhe are more accessible options in this tiny corner of north-west Italy.
