Heady, spicy (gewurz = spice) Alsace grape, that polarises palates. For some it’s bewitching for others, overwhelming. Dry, off-dry or intensely sweet, it’s glorious with Asian food, notably Oriental dishes, smelly cheese and – tomatoes!
