A new food and wine pairing
As mutual lovers of good food and wine, we are excited to have teamed up with award-winning restaurant group Noble Rot to trial an exclusive wine list: The Wine Society Reserve; a small collection of bottles to be offered at Noble Rot Mayfair’s restaurant.
Founded by Master of Wine Mark Andrew and wine writer Dan Keeling, Noble Rot comprises three well-loved and critically acclaimed restaurants in London's Bloomsbury, Soho and Mayfair – with wine firmly at the heart of their business. It also publishes a contemporary quarterly magazine about wine, food and creative art.
Their restaurant menus focus on simple dishes, crafted traditionally. The lunch menu is £26 for three courses; a la carte around £50 for two courses. Their wine list, which has won Wine List of the Year at the National Restaurant Awards an unprecedented four times, is broad and expertly selected by their Master of Wine.
As well as a love of good food and wine, they also share a similar ethos regarding pricing, offering a broad spectrum with very low mark-ups across all their wines, keeping their enjoyment as accessible as possible to all.
As part of this initiative, Noble Rot is delighted to offer members a special subscription rate to Noble Rot magazine. A subscription buys four beautiful print magazines delivered to your door.
Subscription to the magazine costs £48 (£45 for Wine Society members). Subscribers also get exclusive access to their online magazine archive featuring articles from issue 1-31. To benefit from the discounted subscription offer, visit the Noble Rot website and enter the discount code NOBLEROTWS at checkout. The discount applies to new subscriptions only.
Bringing The Wine Society to a new audience
This is a new initiative for The Wine Society as we look to acquire new members and secure our membership for the future. As a member-owned business, we do things a little differently and will therefore only select wines for The Reserve List based on at least one or more of the following strict criteria:
- they have been offered to members previously and within the past 12 months
- quantities are too small to offer sensibly to the membership.
We hope to appeal to wine lovers who are not aware of The Society and to benefit from press coverage and reach via social channels.
