For members who live outside the United Kingdom, we offer the following services:

Channel Islands

The majority of The Society’s listed wines can be exported free of UK duty and VAT (‘in-bond’) from our bonded warehouse to the Channel Islands.  Customs and Excise regulations mean that we are able to supply only unmixed cases or half-bottle cases where these are available.

Wines will be charged at the time or ordering inclusive of the shipping / delivery charge, together with local taxes and agent fee.

The Society arranges two group consignments a year: one in summer and one in time for Christmas:

Unmixed Cases from Order Deadline Consignment Arrival
Current listed range 30 April By June/July
Current listed range 30 October In time for Christmas

Our charges per case and are subject to change:

Jersey & Guernsey Delivery £16 door to door
Agent Fee 1% of total duty charge
Alderney & Sark Delivery £25.50 port only
Agent Fee 1% of total duty charge

The order deadlines provide The Society with four to six weeks to prepare the necessary paperwork and local customs clearance.  Once wines have arrived in the Channel Islands, members will be notified by the shipping agent.

If you would like to place an order or have any further questions, please telephone 01438 741177 and ask for the Export Department.  Alternatively, please email export@thewinesociety.com.

General Export

While our wider Export service has been withdrawn, we are committed to delivering wines purchased and held in Members Reserves wherever possible.  To get a quote for delivery, please email our Export Team at export@thewinesociety.com.

Members who live abroad can use our website to place orders for deliveries within the UK, either as gifts or to other organisations who can arrange shipments, although all exporters are exposed to the same shipping cost increases. Alternatively, you may wish buy wines to store in Members’ Reserves for future UK delivery.
