2025 saw the lowest production since 1856, with just 6,000 dozen bottles produced, of which only 35% will be classified as grand vin. This, combined with the fact that the 2025 is one of the wines of the vintage, will likely make it highly sought after. A blend of 89% cabernet sauvignon, 6% merlot, 4% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot, it is the third most concentrated vintage in the estate’s history, after 2022 and 2018, yet it carries its power with remarkable grace and elegance. The palate is silky and creamy, with fine, pinprick-like tannins that gently coat the mouth. There is impeccable purity of fruit, with notes of blueberry, ripe strawberry and cherry, complemented by a touch of salted liquorice. The 100% new oak will bring further opulence and spice to the wine, while the finish lingers for an age. Very classy. This wine comes in a wooden case. Drink from 2035 to 2060. 13.8%
