The Society's Beaujolais-Villages 2023

The ultimate bistrot style-wine, this has intense and vibrant black-fruit perfume, a classic Beaujolais-Villages with good balance, vibrant red fruit and a ripe, yet fresh palate. Beaujolais has always been an ideal bistro wine and goes brilliantly with a wide variety of dishes, from charcuterie to fish, fowl and roasted vegetables. Delicious too, slightly chilled, with a baked Camembert or Brie and a baguette. The finest chickens make a top match for it too.

France £11.50 per bottle

Morgon Maison Jean Marc Aujoux 2023

Morgon Maison Jean Marc Aujoux 2023

France £13.95 per bottle
2024 - 2027

Brouilly Cuvée Marcel, Jacques Dépagneux 2023

A full, rounded and ripe-flavoured Beaujolais with soft tannins, sweet fruit and a fresh, long finish. 2023 was a great vintage for Beaujolais, fresher than the 2022 but with good balance and ripeness of fruit. Jean-Marc from Aujoux, who makes our Society's Beaujolais Villages and our Exhibition wines, worked with us to source an additional Brouilly for members given the quality available.

2024 - 2027

Chiroubles, Domaine de la Boisselière 2024

A lovely discovery, this is a fresh, vibrant and juicy cru Beaujolais with appealing purity, made without the addition of sulphur. Store in cool conditions and drink this year and next.

France £13.50 per bottle
2025 - 2027

Fleurie, Domaine Montangeron 2024

A member favourite for many years, this is copybook, perfumed Fleurie delivering plenty of supple, ripe fruit. Perfect with roast chicken and other fowl. The Montengeron family have their vines close to the border with Morgon and their Fleurie needs a year in bottle to show at its best. It comes from a number of different vineyard parcels (Chamilles, Champagne and Rochaux) that all lie mid-slope (generally regarded as the best spot for vines), on sandy soils.

2025 - 2028

The Society's Exhibition Fleurie 2024

Attractive, floral Fleurie, in keeping with its name, with vibrant red-fruit notes on the palate. Lovely crunchy fresh fruit with a long finish.
