This Valtellina Superiore epitomises the elegant mountain expression of nebbiolo from vineyards at 400-550-metres altitude. Fermented traditionally and aged in large neutral oak, there is an expressive perfume of red apple and grapefruit peel, with fine-but-firm tannins supporting cherry, bitter orange and subtle spices. A floral, lifted finish and overall vertical mouthfeel, reflects the steep, sun-kissed, night-cooled slopes of Valtellina.
