By the 1860s he had planted vines, and in 1868 Henschke was established. Today, fifth-generation winemaker Stephen Henschke and his wife Prue, one of Australia's most influential viticulturists, continue that tradition. Their intimate understanding of these vineyards, coupled with Prue's pioneering work in sustainable viticulture, has helped elevate Henschke to the very highest level.
