Suertes del Marques 2024

Two beautiful, elegant wines available to reserve

Suertes del Marques 2024

Canary Island wines are undoubtedly producing some of Spain’s most unique and fascinating fine wines today. Following the enthusiastic response from members last year, I’m delighted to offer the 2024 vintage of two top whites from Tenerife’s Suertes del Marques, a producer at the heart of this exciting wine scene.

Order by midday on Friday 3rd April

Based in the Orotava Valley, the island’s most historic appellation, the estate is now led by second-generation winemaker Jonatan Garcia, whose family have been making wines here for nearly 20 years working with low-intervention and organic principles across the nine hectares they farm.

Tenerife’s winemaking roots stretch back to the 15th century, and its wines were being shipped to the UK, North America, and Australia by the 19th century. Suertes’ volcanic soils, rich in basalt, produce wines with naturally low pH, a signature of freshness, mineral tension and ageing potential. Their distinctive character, coupled with a touch of mineral reduction, shapes the style of their elegant, dry whites. I urge you to give them a go.
