A stunning, refined cabernet from Napa expert Cathy Corison. 2019 in Napa was a fantastic vintage producing very classic wines. Cathy's cabernet is always on the elegant side for Napa despite great concentration of blackcurrant and plum, with fine French oak notes, bright acidity, solid tannins and sweet liquorice spice developing. There is plenty of potential here, so give it time to open up and reveal its sublime fruit and complex layers of herbal and mineral flavours.

Wonderful on release if decanted, however will age beautifully for a decade. 2020 was a tricky year and production was much smaller.

Perfumed and floral, with intense graphite and wild herb character on the nose, leading to forest fruits, black cherry, cassis and cedar on the palate. With bright acidity - almost tangy in its expression - seamless tannins, and subtly interwoven oak, this is medium-bodied, focused and precise. She balances the natural fruit intensity of Napa with freshness and so much energy in this complex, cellar-worthy Californian red.
