Donnafugata AnthÌlia, Sicilia 2024
A great Sicilian white blend, based on the catarratto lucido grape of the island. This has a gently floral, white peach and lemon-peel aroma and a bright, citrus-driven palate that finishes crisp and dry, with subtle saltiness on the mid-palate. Donnafugata is owned by the Rallo family, and takes its name from Queen Maria Carolina of Naples who, with her husband Ferdinand IV, fled their home city on the arrival of Napoleon's troops and took refuge in Sicily.
