Etna Rosso, Tascante Ghiaia Nera 2021
Great Etna wines, here made from the native nerello mascalese grape, seem to strike a balance between nebbiolo's structure and haunting perfume and pinot noir's elegance and fruit. Here wonderfully scented with spiced orange, leather, violets and cranberry on the nose, which continue on the fine-boned palate where balsamic and summer fruits are well balanced by subtle oak.
