Greek Holiday Case
Wines included
Mitravelas ‘Red on Black’ Agiorgitiko 2024
An uncomplicated juicy fruit-forward agiorgitiko from Nemea in Greece, with a soft palate and plenty of bramble and red-berry fruit. This works brilliantly alongside Greek fare like gyros or souvlaki, matching whatever meat you go for with ease and providing enough substance to deal with all those tangy, spicy, savoury sauces liberally added on top! Moussaka is another natural partner, but don't forget a pizza or barbecue.
Xinomavro Jeunes Vignes, Thymiopoulos 2024
Apostolos Thymiopoulos' 'Jeunes Vignes' has been the spark that's lit the fire for this up-and-coming grape variety, providing an early-drinking version of what is historically a tannic, ageworthy wine. Moderately pale in colour this is brimming with aromas and flavours of strawberry liquorice, cherry, roses and tomato leaf, with moderate body, sappy tannins and great complexity for the price. Best served lightly chilled, perhaps with pork souvlaki or kofte meatballs..
Mitravelas ‘White on Grey’ Moschofilero 2025
Fresh, fragrant moschofilero brimming with lime-zest, stone-fruit and rose-hip aromas, zingy acidity and an underlying spice on the palate. A real taste of Greece that transcends its price tag.
G & L Malagousia, Kintonis 2025
From the home of The Society's Greek White comes this outstanding-value 100% malagousia from vines at 1,000m altitude that showcases the grape's natural grapy and floral bouquet with great texture. Impeccable value from this in vogue grape.
The Society's Greek White 2025
Medium-bodied, unoaked, aromatic blend of moschofilero - which provides rose and peach aromatics – and roditis – giving stone-fruit flavour and body - that's become one of our most loved and best-selling white wines in recent years. 2025 was a vintage that produced small volumes but outstanding quality, and we're confident that this blend - put together by us and Leonidas Nassiakos at Kintonis Winery in the Peloponnese - is potentially our finest yet. The Moschofilero comes from high-altitude vineyards in Aigialia is one of Greece's most characterful with bright, refreshing acidity and heady perfume. Roditis is more of a work-horse grape, but when handled well (as it is here) with quality in mind it provides great texture and stonefruit richness.
G and L Rosé, Kintonis 2025
Produced exclusively for us by Leonidas Nassiakos and George Kintonis, who make The Society's Greek White. Here, this same blend of moschofilero and roditis has a splash of agiortiko added, bringing colour, redcurrant and strawberry complexity.
