Hoppenot Mixed Case
Wines included
Fleurie Les Moriers, Domaine Grégoire Hoppenot 2024
Grégoire Hoppenot was voted France's 'newcomer of the year' in 2021, and his single vineyard Les Moriers has deliciously plump fruit texture with the signature vivid freshness of the 2024 vintage. With ripe red-cherry and raspberry flavours, and an invigorating flash of white-pepper fragrance, there is something a little Northern Rhône-esque about this vineyard in this vintage and Grégoire himself loves it - as do we.
Fleurie Clos de l'Amandier, Domaine Grégoire Hoppenot 2024
The 0.7-hectare parcel which Grégoire Hoppenot owns and farms in this south-to-south-west facing walled vineyard is a special serene place - at the foot of the Poncié climat, with a river and forest sitting below it. Fragrant with rose-petal and violet florals, the wine is especially lifted and expressive this vintage, displaying crisp red berry fruit and bracing acidity. It is the most elegant of Grégoire's trio of single vineyards. Please note that this wine is only available as part of the mixed case MX26153.
Fleurie Les Garants, Domaine Grégoire Hoppenot 2024
Les Garants is a 1-hectare plot with a south-to-south-west exposition comprising vines aged between 25 and 60 years, but only the old-vine parcels go into this cuvée. On classic Fleurie terroir of poor, pink granite soils, this high-density vineyard yields a wine of beautiful perfume which in 2024 intertwines florals with spicy, sappy whole-bunch lift. With lovely intensity of blueberry and ripe strawberry fruit, this has a silky texture and a zesty, orange-peel character on the palate. Please note that this wine is only available as part of the mixed case MX26153.
