Nottingham - Local Heroes dinner at MemSaab
We’re excited to bring our Local Heroes dinner to MemSaab, a gem in Nottingham’s dining crown and a long-standing favourite of the Tastings team! Events Manager Catherine will be guiding you through a lineup of delicious wines, thoughtfully paired with the bold, vibrant flavours of MemSaab’s outstanding Indian cuisine.
A perfect spot for an Indian meal is perhaps the ultimate definition of a local hero and we’re thrilled to be continuing our Local Heroes dinner series at MemSaab. A long-standing favourite of the Tastings team who have introduced many colleagues and winemakers to its spiced delights, MemSaab offers bold and vibrant flavours that deserve equally bold and vibrant wines.
Events Manager Catherine, who loves nothing more than a good food‑and‑wine pairing challenge, will guide you through her chosen wines (plus a token lager!) to enjoy with the meal.

MemSaab is a fine dining Indian restaurant in Nottingham featuring traditional, perfectly spiced curries through to modern Indian cooking, their menu captures the essence of India whilst placing MemSaab firmly in the 21st century.
Sit back, relax, and let the Tastings & Events team guide you through the wonders of food and wine pairing, whether it be at a restaurant takeover, themed dinner, Members’ lunch, or foodie masterclass. Our team will help members learn the building blocks of how the flavours and sensations in food and wine interact. The menus for the events are usually provided on registration but do let us know of any dietary or seating requirements.
Do you send physical tickets or is it all e-tickets?
We no longer send out physical tickets for our events. An email confirming registration will be sent to the member who has purchased the ticket(s) and this email can be used as confirmation upon arrival at the event.
Can I bring a non-member?
Yes. Tickets must be booked by a member, but you are welcome to bring non-member guests.
Do I need to know lots about wine to attend?
Absolutely not! Our events target a range of experience and knowledge levels, and we try to make this clear on our event pages. If you’re unsure if an event is for you, simply contact tastings@thewinesociety.com and we will try to help.
Do I get a discount on wines after events?
After our ‘in person’ events, we offer attendees a 10% discount on the wines we have shown, subject to availability. You will be provided with a private code after attending the event to redeem the discount
