Wines included
Château Thieuley Rouge, Bordeaux 2016
A pure, beautifully refined Bordeaux blend of 70% merlot, 25% cabernet sauvignon and 5% petit verdot from the highly respected Courselle family property in La Sauve. An outstanding wine that is starting to drink well - we recommend decanting 30 minutes before drinking. Sustainability practices for this wine are good too; for example, the vineyard has grass growing between the rows of vines in order to create a moderate water stress.
Château Pey La Tour Réserve, Bordeaux Supérieur 2018
A repeat Wine Champion this year, praised by Sebastian Payne MW as a ‘cracker` thanks to its generous, ripe, merlot-fruited palate. Textbook claret that deserves its place on any dinner table.
Château Cap l'Ousteau, Haut-Médoc 2019
An appealing, very well-priced claret from vines located in the Lamarque commune, between Margaux and Saint-Julien. The wine displays the hallmark balance and freshness of the vintage. This is the second wine of Château du Cartillon.
