Trousseau les Boutasses, Domaine de la Croisée Comtoise 2022
The Jura is an exciting region to discover with lots of the younger generation making a name for themselves and this is a new addition following a trip to the region in the summer. This estate was renamed in 2021 when young winemaking couple Louis Bourdrel and Chloe Nardin bought a 6 hectare estate in Poligny from retired vigneron Xavier Reverchon, known for his sous voile styles. This single vineyard trousseau comes from red marl soils with a western exposition. It spends a year in stainless steel for one year prior to bottling. This is full of red-berry and cherry fruits combined with blood orange notes and chalky, fine tannins. Perfect to pair with tomato-based dishes and charcuterie.
