Vin Jaune, Domaine de la Croisée Comtoise 2017
The Jura is an exciting region to discover with lots of the younger generation making a name for themselves. A new addition following a trip to the region in the summer. This domaine was renamed in 2021 when young winemaking couple Louis Bourdrel and Chloe Nardin bought a six-hectare estate in Poligny from retired vigneron Xavier Reverchon. This Vin Jaune was made by Xavier who was noted for his sous voile styles. The best barrels were selected for this enchanting Vin Jaune that has spent six years and three months under flor (yeast). Expect dried lemon peel, dried fruits, walnuts and curry leaf notes with a citrus core.
