Outstanding-value red blend from one of the key figures in South African wine, Adi Badenhorst. Predominantly cabernet sauvignon with 10% pinotage for perfume and spice this is rich and juicy with red-fruit character with notes of bramble and nutmeg. Deliciously easy drinking.
A. A. Badenhorst Curator White, Coastal Region 2024
Not many under-£10 whites can be described as ‘the whole package, with so many layers and a pleasing balance of freshness and texture.' However, that’s exactly what how our Wine Champions tasters summed up this incredible-value, chenin-led, stone-fruited blend from a South African star. With the texture and rich apricot fruit to handle spice, this is a delight.
The Society's French Chardonnay 2024
A cross-regional chardonnay from France and the best of two worlds. Fruit from warmer areas of southern France provides body and weight, with grapes sourced from the foothills of the Pyrenees adding freshness and elegance. Dry, clean and crisp, this would be perfect with roast chicken or quiches.
Touraine Malbec, Domaine Guenault 2024
Only the second vintage produced by Bougrier under their family's own Domaine Guenault label, makes a great pair to the sauvignon blanc we have followed over many years. The 2024 is a very cool fresh vintage, so whilst there's depth of blue and black fruit, the palate is delightfully supple, floral and perfumed.
Maison Jean-Marc Aujoux, Mâcon-La Roche Vineuse 2023
Round, soft, gently fruity, unoaked chardonnay with a ripe honeydew melon character. A well priced wine from Jean-Marc Aujoux, the suppliers of The Society's White Burgundy. No capsule to save packaging.
Rata Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2025
Made by James Macdonald, winemaker at the iconic Marlborough winery, Hunter's, this is fresh and zesty with mouthwatering pineapple and lime-peel aromas. A consistently popular wine which is irresistibly refreshing. Produced using grapes which have been sourced by Hunters from growers across the region of Marlborough.
Duché d'Uzès Rouge, Chapoutier 2024
The Duché d’Uzès region borders the Languedoc and Provence, and produces fresh and crunchy reds that are perfect in their youth. Expect bright red and black berry fruits with some liqourice spice.
Undurraga Finca Las Lomas Leyda Sauvignon Gris 2025
Sauvignon gris is the pink-skinned variation of sauvignon blanc, with which it shares a familiar zesty crispness but overlays it with a light, musky, peach scent and a slightly rounder palate and flavour. This Chilean example is intriguing and delicious. Made by gifted chief winemaker Rafael Urrejola from Undurraga's own Las Lomas estate. made by gifted chief winemaker Rafael Urrejola from Undurraga's own Las Lomas estate.

Concha y Toro Corte Lorena Cauquenes Carignan Grenache 2022
The Society's Exhibition Kamptal Grüner Veltliner 2025
Elegant but generous Austrian grüner showing an alluring hint of sweet smokiness on the nose, with yellow fruit and juicy citrus aromas. The palate is fresh, with a delicate opulence, a core of peach and lime zest and a mouthwatering twist of pepper and ginger spice on the finish. Willi is a kind, gentle man, a legendary figure in Austrian wine, and he has been behind our Exhibition Grüner Veltliner for around a decade now and the quality has been consistently excellent, as one would expect from such an esteemed winery.
Holloway Estate Victoria Shiraz-Cabernet 2024
A delicious, full-bodied and classically styled Australian blend of shiraz and cabernet sauvignon from Tahbilk. This has robust notes of damsons, blackcurrant, blueberry, cracked black pepper and a hint of eucalyptus on the nose; surprisingly and reassuringly complex at the price point! The palate has plenty of tannin and generosity, with a good lift and freshness keeping things under control. There's a real blend of juicy fruit with savoury notes here, combining plum and cassis with attractive earthiness, a leathery note and sweet spices. This is a generous, plush and classic Aussie wine, which is perfect for anyone looking for fruit-forward, silky and classically styled red.
Valpolicella, Tenuta Novare 2025
A delicious, modern, pale ruby and crunchy-fruited Valpolicella bursting with vibrancy, offering red cherry, raspberry leaf and graphite scents while fine tannins, white pepper spice and ripe red-berry fruit fill out the juicy, lifted palate. Great slightly chilled.
