WWF Easter Lighter Whites Case
Wines included
Furmint, Balassa, Tokaji 2023
Opulent oaked furmint from Balassa Winery based in the centre of Tokaji in Hungary. This substantial white is sourced from five separate vineyard plots and spends six months in oak barrels. The result is an intensely aromatic wine with aromas of nutmeg, orchard fruit and cedar and a full, rich palate. An impressive wine for the price.
Stonedance Chenin Blanc-Viognier, Piekenierskloof 2024
An exclusive blend for The Wine Society melding crisp, citrus-led chenin blanc with rich, aromatic viognier all from the on-trend Piekenierskloof, a remote mountain range approximately two hours north of Cape Town.
The Society's Bordeaux Sauvignon 2024
Fresh and aromatic, this is pure Bordeaux sauvignon made without the use of oak in a crisp and fruity modern style that allows its fruit to shine. It is blended from a range of sources according to the vintage to achieve a consistent level of complexity. Versatile enough to enjoy with or without a meal, it is bottled with a screwcap closure to retain maximum freshness. The label carries an image of a great Bordeaux landmark, the Pont de Pierre bridge that crosses the River Garonne in the heart of the city.
Cuvée Laborie Blanc, Vin de France 2024
A partner to complement the ever-popular Laborie red, this is a dry white made from 100% sauvignon gris grown in the cooler Gascony region, an area noted for its crisp dry whites. Whistle clean and with classic sauvignon character.
IGP Val du Loire Le Ch’nin Primeur, Domaine Cady 2025
Alex Cady is the latest grower to join the movement of releasing a 'vin primeur', bottled fresh from the harvest. This lively, aromatic chenin bursts with pear and apple fruit, lifted by citrus brightness and delicate white-flower notes. A charming, elegant and thoroughly enjoyable early release from one of Anjou’s leading chenin blanc growers.
Vermentino Sicilia, Mandrarossa 2025
Our Wine Champions tasters summed it up perfectly as it swept to victory in our 2026 tastings: ‘Peachy, lemony, charming and easy-drinking. This would be lovely served chilled on a nice sunny day – preferably in Italy.’ Need we add anything more? Enjoy!
