Reasons to Visit

Vintage room

Our Vintage Room is a treasure trove of fine wines, kept at the perfect temperature in this purpose-built area. Many of the special bottles held in our Vintage Room are available in quantities too small to list online, so it’s always worth a look when you visit.

Enomatics

Our tasting area features two Enomatic wine-dispensing machines, each holding eight bottles – one features anyday selections, and the other gives you a chance to sample fine wines. To taste wines in the fine-wine machine, you can buy a tasting card and pay to charge it with credit.

Glass hire

Members can borrow trays of glasses from the Showroom at no charge. The tulip-shaped ISO tasting glasses are suitable for all styles of wine, and tumblers and flutes are also available. Members need to collect the glasses themselves and return them washed to the Showroom.

Wine advice

The Showroom team is well qualified help you with any wine queries, whether you're looking for special bottles for anniversaries or a wine to match a particular dish. We have also helped hundreds of members plan wines for their weddings and would be delighted to book an appointment to discuss selections, quantities and budget.

Spiral cellar

Our Showroom has its very own state-of-the-art spiral cellar, visible through a stylish glass door in the floor. Pay us a visit and we'll be happy to show you around. And if you’d like to install your own at home, we can help you get started with a wine credit of £250! Contact Member Services for more information.

click_collect

Many members enjoy taking advantage of our Stevenage click and collect service. Simply select the Showroom collection option at checkout and you can pick up your wine from The Cellar Showroom.

Frequently asked questions

The Cellar Showroom is now open for on-the-spot sales. Following the Government’s announcement that all COVID-19 restrictions will be removed from the 19th July, we would nonetheless encourage our Members to continue wearing masks and to hand sanitise on entering the Showroom.  This decision has been made to keep our staff and members safe. Thank you for your continued patience and support. We also continue to operate the Stevenage Click & Collect service for both wine purchases and Members’ Reserves withdrawals.

We stock all items in the printed List sent out to members, as well as most of the wines from our current offers and features. If you would like a specific wine it's always best to check that it is in stock in the Showroom or place a pre-order.

We don't sell wooden boxes but we do make them available for members in the Showroom on an ad-hoc basis, whenever the warehouse has an excess to give away.

All we ask in return is for a donation in our Showroom charity box (which you can find next to the boxes) – we don't request a specific amount, but urge members to give as generously as they can.

Unfortunately, we can't hold boxes for members to collect at a later date, as we don't have room to store them, so the boxes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
