In June last year, we launched an ambitious plan to accelerate and expand our sustainability efforts. Although we weren’t starting from scratch, it required a range of new initiatives across our five focus areas: Climate, Environment, People, Sourcing and Action.
Over the past 12 months, we have:
- built a sustainability team
- launched our Low and No alcohol drinks range
- offered wines in alternative, lower-carbon packaging
- implemented a new approach to responsible sourcing.
In addition, we now send zero waste to landfill and have launched an ambitious 10-year plan to halve Scope 3 carbon emissions by 2032, on the road to achieving net zero by 2040. And this coming year, we will teach a number of people who wouldn’t normally access a career in wine to achieve WSET qualifications and expand their opportunities in wine and hospitality.
