- The Wine Society Competition (Competition) is open to current members of The Wine Society who are residents of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland aged 18 years or over, except employees of The Wine Society, members of The Wine Society’s Committee, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw.
- The Competition will take place on The Wine Society’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts (“the social platforms”) on the relevant timeline post (“the Competition Post”).
- In order to be entered into the Competition and in with the chance to win the Prize, the entrant must be a member of The Wine Society. The member must like and comment on the relevant Competition post which bottle they would like to find under their Christmas Tree. Once the entrant has submitted their answer on the Competition post, they will be able to edit the comment before the closing date. The entrant may also comment across all platforms, and each would count as an entry. An entrant cannot have more than one entry per platform.
- The Competition is for a chance to win £200 credit into their Wine Society account (one prize across all social platforms). There will be one winner.
- The opening date for entries is Monday 4th December 2023 at 16:00GMT. The closing date of the Competition is Friday 8th December 2023 at 11:00GMT. Entries after this time will not be valid.
- No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.
- The Wine Society will not accept entries that are (a) automatically generated by computer, (b) completed by third parties in bulk, (c) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged, or tampered with, (d) photocopies and not originals, or (e) incomplete. The Wine Society reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the intentions of the Competition.
- The Wine Society accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network, or server failure of any kind. If for any reason a technical interruption, fault or site failure occurs when purchasing online, The Wine Society does not take any responsibility for incomplete purchases and any incomplete purchases will not be considered valid or entry into the prize draw. The Wine Society accepts no responsibility for any purchases which are not completed for any reason.
- There will be one winner across all platforms, who will be randomly chosen by an independent randomized platform from all eligible entries received once the Competition has terminated.
- We will publicly declare the winner on the relevant social platforms with a comment on the Competition post, as well as announce it on the winning message and request for their details to be sent to us via private message, in order for the Prize to be credited to the winner. The winner will be publicly announced with a comment on the Competition post no later than Friday 8th December at 16:00GMT. By entering the Competition, the winner accepts to be tagged and/ or have their name/ username mentioned in the Competition post and announced as the winner.
- If the winner does not respond to the promoters’ message within five days of being notified, then the winner will be deemed to have automatically forfeited the Prize and the promoter reserves the right to select another winner from all eligible entries.
- Only one entry per social media account on each social media platform is permitted. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted.
- The prize for the winner is subject to availability and non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative is offered. The prize will be awarded within 30 days of the prize draw.
- The prize is supplied by The Wine Society. The Wine Society reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond The Wine Society’s control make it necessary to do so. The decision of The Wine Society regarding any aspect of the Competitions is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

- The Wine Society reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Insofar as is permitted by law, The Wine Society, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winners or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prizes except where it is caused by the negligence of The Wine Society, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- The Wine Society is required to either publish or make available information, if requested, that indicates that a valid award took place. Accordingly, The Wine Society reserves the right to provide the forename and surname of the winner (or their unique channel username), together with their county and winning entry, if relevant, to anyone who contacts Member Services. The Wine Society will notify the prize winner in advance. The prize winner will be given the opportunity to request information published about them to be reduced. If the prize winner objects to any or all of the prize winner’s surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Member Services at The Wine Society. The prize winner should note that The Wine Society may be required to provide their information to the Advertising Standards Authority in the event of a challenge. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will be processed as set out in The Wine Society’s Privacy Notice.
- The prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draws submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
