Terms and Conditions 

  1. The Wine Society ‘’Bordeaux Trip (Giveaway’) is open to current members of The Wine Society who are residents of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland aged 18 years or over, except employees of The Wine Society, members of The Wine Society’s Committee, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw. Please note that the entrant must hold a valid share in order to participate in the prize draw.  
  2. In order to qualify for entry into the Giveaway and in with the chance to win the Prize, the entrant must be a member of The Wine Society and must opt in to the prize draw by following the link provided on www. thewinesociety.com/discover/explore/150th-anniversary/beaumont-stay . They can do this any time before the close date of 15th October 20203 at 23:59 GMT Only one entry per member and members must enter using the email address registered to their Wine Society account. If members are not able to use the website link, they can opt into the draw by calling the Member Services team on 01438 741177.
  3. The Giveaway is for a chance to win Accommodation for 1 night for 4 people (double or single rooms as required) at Chateau Beaumont, 28 Rue Beaumont Nord, 33460, Cussac-Fort-Medoc, France. The prize includes a tasting tour of the cellars, dinner and breakfast.  The prize also includes a visit to Chateau Beychevelle, Route Du Port, 33250 Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, France, with a tasting tour of the cellars and lunch for 4 people.  No flights or transfers are included. The prize must be taken by the end of August 2025.  The winner must contact Château Beaumont directly to arrange dates and details.  Rooms are subject to availability. No travel is included, winners must arrange their own travel and insurance to the event. 
  4. The opening date for entries is 3rd September 2024 at 09:00GMT. The closing date of the Giveaway is 15th October 2024 at 23:59GMT. Entries after this time will not be valid.   
  5. The Wine Society will not accept entries that are (a) automatically generated by computer, (b) completed by third parties in bulk, (c) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged, or tampered with, (d) photocopies and not originals, or (e) incomplete. The Wine Society reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the intentions of the Giveaway. 
  6. The Wine Society accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network, or server failure of any kind.   
  7. There will be 1 winner, the prize is for up to 4 people, one of which must include a Wine Society Member. Winners will be randomly chosen by an independent randomised platform from all eligible entries received by Monday 21st October after the Giveaway has terminated. Only one winner per share number.  
  8. All winners will be contacted by a representative of The Wine Society by phone or email to confirm they will accept the prize and give authority to The Wine Society to share their name and contact information with Chateau Beychevelle. 
  9. If the winner does not respond to the promoters’ message within five days of being notified, then the winner will be deemed to have automatically forfeited the Prize and the promoter shall select another winner from all eligible entries. 
  10. Only one entry per share is permitted. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted  
  11. The prize for the winner is subject to availability and non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The prize will be awarded within 60 days of the prize draw and sent via email.  
  12. The prize is supplied by the Chateau Beychevelle, Route Du Port, 33250 Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, France. The Wine Society in conjunction with Chateau Beychevelle reserve the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond their control make it necessary to do so. The decision of The Wine Society in conjunction with Chateau Beychevelle, France regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.   
  13. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Wine Society reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prizes to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.  
  14. The Wine Society reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so. 
  15. Insofar as is permitted by law, The Wine Society, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winners or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prizes except where it is caused by the negligence of The Wine Society, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.  
  16. The Wine Society is required to either publish or make available information, if requested, that indicates that a valid award took place. Accordingly, The Wine Society reserves the right to provide the surname of the winner (or their unique channel username), together with their county and winning entry, if relevant, to anyone who contacts Member Services. The Wine Society will notify the prize winner in advance. The prize winner will be given the opportunity to request information published about them to be reduced. If the prize winner objects to any or all of the prize winner’s surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Member Services at The Wine Society.  The prize winner should note that The Wine Society may be required to provide their information to the Advertising Standards Authority in the event of a challenge. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will be processed as set out in The Wine Society’s Privacy Notice.  
  17. The prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draws submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.  
  18. The promoter of this prize draw is the International Exhibition Co-operative Wine Society Limited (‘The Wine Society’) a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 (register number 1824R) and whose registered office is at Gunnels Wood Road, Stevenage SG1 2BT in association with Chateau Beychevelle, Route Du Port, 33250 Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, France.
