Terms and Conditions
1. The Wine Society Special Bottles Prize Draw is open to current members of The Wine Society who are residents of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland aged 18 years or over, except employees of The Wine Society, members of The Wine Society’s Committee, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw.
2. If you place an order between 00.01am on Thursday 6th June 2024 and midnight on Sunday 4th August 2024 totalling £150 or more, for UK delivery, or for purchases or collections from our Stevenage Showroom you will be automatically entered into the prize draw. To qualify, please check your order value is £150 or more. The order value excludes the following: Tasting and Event tickets, In bond orders (En Primeur and First Release), Reserves withdrawals, Subscription schemes (Vintage Cellar Plan and Wine Without Fuss), or any charges for duty and VAT on in-bond arrivals or for reserve rental.

4. To be entered in the prize draw, your order must be submitted online at www.thewinesociety.com, by telephone on 01438 741177, by post to Freepost RRZZ-RKEE-UUYJ, The Wine Society, Stevenage SG1 2BT, or in person at The Society’s showroom.
5. Each eligible order will receive one entry into the draw. Members do not need to contact The Wine Society to confirm their entry.
6. The opening date for entries is 00.01am on Thursday 6th June 2024. The closing date of the prize draw is midnight on Sunday 4th August 2024. Orders placed after this time will not qualify.
7. The prizes consist of no fewer than 150 bottles of fine wine as listed here on The Society’s website. The bottles will be allocated in a draw taking place the week commencing Monday 5th August 2024. There will be no fewer than 150 winners with a maximum of one prize awarded per member.
8. The Wine Society accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind. If for any reason a technical interruption, fault or site failure occurs when purchasing online, The Wine Society does not take any responsibility for incomplete purchases and any incomplete purchases will not be considered valid for entry into the prize draw. The Wine Society accepts no responsibility for any purchases which are not completed for any reason.
9. Winners will be chosen by random draw supervised by an independent person the week commencing Monday 5th August 2024.
10. The winners will each receive one bottle of fine wine from this list. The bottle will be sent to the winner using a delivery method of our choice. No additional charge shall be payable for delivery of the bottle.
11. The Society will contact the winners by phone or email using the details on our system to notify them of their win, and to confirm delivery arrangements. This contact will take place during the week commencing 5th August 2024. If the winner does not respond to our contact within 21 days, then they will be deemed to have automatically forfeited the prize; and another winner will be selected from all eligible entries.
12. The prize for the winners is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The Society’s Promise does not apply.
13. The prizes are supplied, and delivery will be arranged, by The Wine Society. The Wine Society reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances make it necessary to do so.
14. The decision of The Wine Society regarding any aspect of the prize draws is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
15. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Wine Society reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prizes to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
16. The Wine Society reserves the right to hold, void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
17. Insofar as is permitted by law, The Wine Society, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winners or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring following delivery of the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of The Wine Society, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
18. The Wine Society is required to either publish or make available information, if requested, that indicates that a valid award took place. Accordingly, The Wine Society reserves the right to provide the forename and surname of the winners, together with their county, to anyone who contacts Member Services. Each prize winner will be given the opportunity to request information published about them to be reduced. If a prize winner objects to any or all of the prize winner’s forename, surname or county being published or made available, please advise Member Services at The Wine Society. A prize winner should note that The Wine Society may be required to provide their information to the Advertising Standards Authority in the event of a challenge. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will be processed as set out in The Wine Society’s Privacy Notice which can be found at https://www.thewinesociety.com/privacy-notice.
19. The prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
20. The promoter of this prize draw is The International Exhibition Co-operative Wine Society Limited (‘The Wine Society’) a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 (register number 1824R) and whose registered office is at Gunnels Wood Road, Stevenage SG1 2BT.
