The Wine Society’s Anniversary range is an exclusive, highly limited collection of fine wines from many of the world’s greatest producers. This stunning range has been 10 years in the making and features bespoke blends and never-to-be-repeated exclusives, thanks to our long-standing relationships with wineries around the world, some of whom we’ve been working with for more than 100 years. The Society’s buyers were tasked with sourcing world-class bottles from around the globe that would be drinking perfectly on release in our 150th year. All wines in the Anniversary range are ready for drinking and enjoying now.

The Wine Society’s Anniversary range is an exclusive, highly limited collection of fine wines from many of the world’s greatest producers.

Producer focus: Alfred Gratien

Fittingly, the first wine to be selected for our Anniversary range was from our oldest suppliers, Champagne Alfred Gratien. Marcel Orford-Williams (our Champagne buyer at the time) visited and, when he tasted the 2012 vin clair – the still wine that results from the first fermentation – was blown away by the quality. He asked our friends at Alfred Gratien if we could put our name on it and keep it for our 150th celebrations. Gratien, partners since 1906, and the people behind several previous special bottlings for us, generously agreed. The result is a remarkable vintage Champagne from a great year and offered to members at the perfect stage to enjoy.

Produced by Alfred Gratien, the 2012 vintage has been declared as 'exceptional' by award-winning chef de cave Nicolas Jaeger.
