100% from the Saarburg Rausch Grosse Lage (Grand Cru) vineyard, this is a pure delight in 2025. Crisp, bright, bone dry and floral with hints of red apple and ginger spice. The acidity is tangy and there is a salinity on the finish that riesling from the Saar is well known for. Drink this year to 2031. 11%

A sensational Auslese from a charming and approachable vintage and a star Saar estate. The residual sugar is carefully balanced with the wine's racy acidity producing a melt in your mouth style of Auslese with lots of tropical fruits and fleshiness. Often Auslese needs time, but this example from the Rausch Grosse Lage (Grand Cru) vineyard is ready to go. Drink from 2027 to 2043. 8%

Surrounded by the Gruneberg forest in Germany, this monopole vineyard is 19 hectares and is slightly less steep and a little cooler than Abtsberg. 2025 is a juicy, fruity vintage which this wine captures so well, with some jasmine and mandarin notes combined with a citrus core and saltiness on the finish. Drink from 2028 to 2038. 11.5%

From a star producer in the Ruwer, this is a traditional method sparkling wine made from 100% riesling. The wine spends 18 months on its yeast lees and produces a fizz with subtle hints of brioche combined with yellow stone fruits and white-pepper spice. At 7 grams/ litre dosage, this is a dry style of sparkling and perfectly refreshing. Drink from 2026 to 2029. 12%

This monopole vineyard is the smallest at the estate with only one hectare on a south eastern exposition. I always find the Bruderberg the most tightly wound of the vineyards of the estate, with a hint of reduction and a salinity that continues on the finish. In 2025 there is an additional layer of stone fruits and tangerine with signature racy acid structure and a flinty note. There is a restrained concentration that shows the wine's innate quality. Drink from 2028 to 2038. 11%

The Auslese in 2025 proved to be a wonderfully compelling offering with intensity, presence and beautiful balance with a tangy acidity. There is a juiciness on the mid palate and plenty of ginger, nectarine and lemon verbena notes that are balanced with a hint of flintiness. Drink this year to 2042. 7%

From the Grosse Lage (Grand Cru) Rausch vineyard picked slightly earlier than the Rausch Kabinett as well as from younger vine fruit, this is a classic Kabinett full of jasmine, citrus and peach aromas. The 2025 shines through with its energetic acidity and fruity core. Nectarine, mandarin and fleshy stone fruits combine with an attractive tangy finish. Drink this year to 2035. 8.5%

Situated opposite the winery, this monopole vineyard site means 'Abbot's hill' and its 14 hectares is probably their most famous site. It produces complex wines from its blue-slate soils and with a gradient of up to 75% it is a dramatic vineyard to walk and work in. Wonderfully expressive tropical elements of pineapple and fresh mango combine with a chalky, mineral core and an attractive pithiness that provides great structure. Drink from 2028 to 2038. 11%

Jasmine, citrus and a steely note with a hint of reduction. The core is tightly wound with an attractive salty note that balances well with the sweetness on the finish. This is a benchmark Kabinett from a seriously impressive vintage. Drink this year to 2036. 7%

2025 was a great year for Spätlese and this is a charming example from one of the top estates in Germany. Honeysuckle and spice combine with apricots and spice with a lovely balance of sweetness with juicy acidity. Drink from 2028 to 2042. 7.5%

The Kabinett displays a richness and a concentration in 2025 with a very fruity profile, with elements of tropical fruits and a hint of mandarin and ginger. The acidity feels ripe and juicy, and this is a very quaffable white. Drink this year to 2036. 7%

Coming exclusively from the Rausch Grosse Lage (Grand Cru) vineyard this wine is wonderfully expressive with melon, peach and fresh apricot notes. The palate is concentrated, thanks to being harvested slightly later than the Saarburg Kabinett, yet there is a finesse and elegance to the wine that you expect from a benchmark Kabinett. 58 grams/litre residual sugar. Drink from 2027 to 2037. 8%

With just a hint of reduction this wine is filled with quince, ginger and a tangy, juicy palate. A delicate profile with plenty of layers of flavour to evolve in the glass. I would thoroughly recommend this to any lovers of the Kabinett style and suggest cellaring some for the longer term. Drink this year to 2036. 7%
