Made from the best fruit of Vallone's old bush-vine negroamaro that is partially dried on grattici (straw mats) in the Puglian sun, intensifying the flavour. This is a rich plum- and black-cherry-scented wine, with layers of sweet spice, prune, fresh sage and mint, and a twist of dark chocolate developing on the finish. Think of this as the 'Amarone of the south', with decadent fruit yet vibrant acidity. Decant and enjoy over an evening. Drink this year to 2035. 14.5%
