Artémis Domaines own Château Latour, Domaine d’Eugénie, Clos de Tart, Château Grillet, Champagne Jacquesson, Eisele Vineyard and Beaux-Frères. In 2022 they acquired Bouchard Père et Fils who owned about 95ha of vineyards. In order to allow greater attention to detail they separated about 35ha of many of the best vineyards into a newly created domaine called Vignoble des Cabottes, which is run by the talented Frédéric Weber, who previously made these wines at Bouchard Père et Fils. They have doubled the personnel in the vineyard. The Château de Puligny building has been acquired and a new cellar is under construction where the wines will eventually be made.
So, we are delighted to offer these 2023s, the first vintage of Vignoble des Cabottes.
Order by midday on Thursday 4th June
2023 is an excellent quality vintage. It produced wines with typical Burgundian flavours and aromas, and an attractive balance of fruit and acidity. They have a generous and extrovert character, and there is excellent terroir demarcation. The warm year brought a large crop to full maturity with no overripeness and normal levels of alcohol (around 13-13.5%). The white wines are bottled with Diam corks.
