Anyday Rhône Case
Wines included
Costières de Nîmes La Ciboise, Chapoutier 2019
From a stony plateau outside Nîmes, this is an exuberantly fruity grenache-syrah blend from the excellent Michel Chapoutier and very full-bodied in the hot 2019 vintage.
Côtes-du-Rhône, Château Courac 2017
Full-bodied fruity Rhône from the village of Laudun. Syrah plays a significant part in the blend, hence the deep colour and dark spicy fruit, combining body, ripeness and freshness.
Côtes-du-Rhône, Domaine Jaume 2019
Three generations of the Jaume family farm some 200 acres of vineyard in the southern Rhône village of Vinsobres. The climate here is influenced by Alpine foothills so that cooling breezes play on the vines, preserving fresh fruit flavours in the wines. Easy-drinking, yet full-flavoured and food friendly.
Domaine Camp Galhan les Frigouliers IGP Cevennes 2020
Domaine Camp Galhan les Frigouliers IGP Cevennes 2020
The Society's French Syrah 2019
The 2019 edition of this syrah comes from the northern Rhône and from both banks of the river but with a sizeable proportion coming from Brézème, a micro-region a few miles to the south of Crozes-Hermitage. Huge colour in this very ripe vintage and gorgeous blueberry fruit.
Ventoux Les Traverses, Paul Jaboulet Aîné 2019
The 2019 vintage of this delicious Rhône red is as full-bodied as its predecessor of 2018, lusciously fruity and ripe. What makes the difference is the feeling of fresh fruit on the palate, in part thanks to cool breezes coming off of the iconic Mont Ventoux.
