Bohòrquez Reserva Especial, Ribera del Duero 2004
The Selección Especial cuvée is only in its second vintage release and, with just 800 bottles produced, this meticulous estate offers us a rare opportunity to enjoy a fully mature Ribera del Duero from one of the region's finest recent vintages. A blend of 85% tempranillo and 15% cabernet sauvignon, it combines notes of cocoa, tobacco and blackberry fruit with dried herbs, underpinned by the freshness and structure that have long been hallmarks of the estate. Silky, savoury and beautifully resolved, this is a compelling example of just how gracefully top Ribera del Duero can age.
