Red Wine from Italy - Piedmont
Unlike many barberas, which come from the more famous zones of Alba or Asti, Boveri’s Boccanera is produced in the lesser-known hills of Colli Tortonesi in south-eastern Piedmont. This gives the wine a slightly different character: fresher, brighter and a touch more savoury and mineral in style. The 2025 vintage is wonderfully expressive, offering vibrant aromas of ripe red cherry, raspberry and wild plum, alongside barbera’s naturally lively acidity and subtle spice. Medium-bodied and energetic, with juicy fruit balanced by a gentle earthy edge. A distinctive and characterful take on barbera, ideal with pasta, grilled meats and rustic Italian cooking.
