Wines included
Domaine de Bellene, Beaune Premier Cru Teurons 2019
Made from a vineyard of 0.5ha planted in 1961, and one can feel the gorgeous velvety old-vine texture when tasting it. A lovely balance between ripeness and freshness.
Domaine Robert Chevillon, Nuits-Saint-Georges Vieilles Vignes 2019
Ripe, concentrated but not heavy wine in warm vintage. Sweet tannins and rich, black fruit combine to produce satisfying palate.
Jean-Marc Vincent, Santenay Blanc 'Vignes Denses' 2020
The wine is concentrated but not ‘thick` textured or heavy, showing more intensity of flavour than sheer power. Made from vines in Passetemps and Prarons, planted to a density of 14,000 vines/ha with good plant material (both clones and massale selections). Drink from 2026 to 2032.
Sylvain Pataille, Marsannay Blanc 2021
A lovely balanced wine from a star of a producer, mingling scents of apples and white peaches. the palate has ripe fruit but with a certain firmness and tension.
Domaine Antoine Jobard, Meursault en la Barre 2022
From a warm year producing ripe wines yet with good structure and grip. A mix of melony fruit combined with apples tinged with honey. All white Burgundy of this level is worth decanting but especially Jobard`s wines, which are relatively tight when first opened but open up and become more expansive with oxygen.
Marchand-Tawse, Gevrey-Chambertin Vignes de la Famille Tawse 2021
A perfumed cuvée of eight parcels (including Roncevie, La Justice, Clos Prieur Bas and Combes). With 20% whole-bunch fermentation and 20% new oak, this has a soft and fruity palate, sweet tannins and a silky texture. Drink from 2026 to 2031.
