Expressive and intense oaked dry Barsac from Château Closiot, a property purchased by Jean-Marie Guffens of Burgundy fame and his distinctive reductive, oaked style is clear in this new venture. Aromas of struck match, cedar and grapefruit pith on the nose are complemented by a racy yet hugely concentrated palate. Bottled under screwcap so best decanted for 20 minutes before drinking.
