Red Wine from France - Bordeaux
Recently sourced from an exclusive cellar of impeccable provenance. A vintage often overlooked in favour of 1996, but that on the Right Bank delivers some exceptional wines. This displays excellent fruit definition and impressive persistence. Surprisingly youthful in character, with bright, vibrant red fruit remaining very much at the centre of the profile. There is excellent acidity, surprising for the vintage, lending freshness and energy throughout. There is good texture and depth on the palate, with the fruit carrying through into a nicely long finish. A wine very much driven by its red-fruited character, and one that continues to perform remarkably well. Excellent.
