Château Romanin, Rosé IGP Les Alpilles 2025

0 star rating 0 Reviews
From an extraordinary estate near Les Baux de Provence, bought and completely revamped by the Charmolüe family, formerly of Château Montrose in Bordeaux. This is made from biodynamically grown grapes, mostly grenache and syrah, with smaller amounts of cabernet sauvignon and counoise. Light, pale and delicately flavoured, this is delicious rosé.

Château Romanin

Chateau Romanin is a remarkable estate tucked among limestone crags of the Alpilles near Baux-de- Provence. It is an ancient site, occupied by Gauls and Romans, moors and Templars. The castle ruins are Templar in origin. Romanin was a court of love in old Provence, attracting troubadours and tales of chivalry.

Wine and oil have been produced here for centuries. The present owners, Anne-Marie and Jean-Louis Charmolüe, sold Chateau Montrose, a top classed growth in Saint-Estèphe, in order to buy this dream estate in Provence and they have been able to invest heavily in both vineyard and cellar. A full range of wines is made here with red and rosé taking the lion's share.
