White Wine from Portugal - Alentejo
A beautifully pure and expressive white from one of Portugal's most forward-thinking estates. Predominantly arinto, blended with 20% antão vaz, this is a wine that consistently overdelivers, combining freshness, texture and character in equal measure. The smaller 2025 vintage has produced a particularly focused example, with aromas of apricot, lemon zest and fresh herbs leading into a crisp, lively palate. Notes of stone fruit are framed by a subtle creaminess, while bright acidity and a mineral thread bring precision and length. It's the sort of wine that earns a permanent place in a range because it does so many things well. Tapada de Coelheiros is one of our Wine Society Pioneers, recognised for its commitment to sustainability and biodiversity. Alongside 600 hectares of forest, the estate provides habitats for birds, bats, insects and pollinators, while also investing in the wellbeing of the people who return year after year to work among the vines. Certified organic, this beautifully presented, crisp, dry white owes its purity and freshness to the arinto grapes forming the majority of this blend. They retain their acidity in the heat of the Alentejo, and this is a fine white wine vintage.
