David and Nadia Skaliekop Chenin Blanc, Swartland 2023
White Wine from South Africa - Coastal Region
From a single vineyard on a combination of shale and decomposed granite on the Paardeberg mountain planted in 1985. Fermented and aged in old neutral French oak barrels this is more approachable and riper in style than the Hoë-Steen with aromas and flavours of tropical fruit and a pithy, grapefruit skin finish on the palate. Still with immense concentration and length of flavour, this will require time to fully come out of its shell. Please note that this wine is only available as part of the mixed case MX25344.
