Join us as we return with our Dining with the Stars series—back by popular demand after the success of last year’s unforgettable events, and once again hosted at one of these same exceptional Michelin-starred restaurants - Lumiere. This time, we’re delighted to welcome Tim Sykes as your host for the evening.
Expect an extraordinary night where exquisite, precision-crafted dishes are paired with a line-up of show-stopping wines, each chosen to elevate the experience. With Tim guiding you through every glass, sharing behind-the-scenes stories, insights and a few surprises along the way, this promises to be as engaging as it is indulgent.
Set in a truly special setting and designed to be both elegant and relaxed, this is a celebration of outstanding food, remarkable wines and great company—an evening that truly sparkles from start to finish.
Join us for a very special Dining with the Stars dinner – an unforgettable evening at Lumiere in Cheltenham. The incredible team at Lumiere are crafting a delicious six-course menu, to be served in their main dining room. Each course will be expertly paired with a truly stellar line-up of wines by our special guest and buyer, Tim Sykes.
The final menu and wine selection will be confirmed and published in June. Subject to final confirmation, the wine selection will feature the following:
Chateau Lafite 1986
Chateau du Beaucastel Hommage a Jacques Perrin 2000
Penfolds Bin 144 Yattarna Chardonnay 2011
If any changes are needed, the wines selected will be of similar quality and style.
Sit back, relax, and let the Tastings & Events team guide you through the wonders of food and wine pairing, whether it be at a restaurant takeover, themed dinner, Members’ lunch, or foodie masterclass. Our team will help members learn the building blocks of how the flavours and sensations in food and wine interact. The menus for the events are usually provided on registration but do let us know of any dietary or seating requirements.
Do you send physical tickets or is it all e-tickets?
We no longer send out physical tickets for our events. An email confirming registration will be sent to the member who has purchased the ticket(s) and this email can be used as confirmation upon arrival at the event.
Can I bring a non-member?
Yes. Tickets must be booked by a member, but you are welcome to bring non-member guests.
Do I need to know lots about wine to attend?
Absolutely not! Our events target a range of experience and knowledge levels, and we try to make this clear on our event pages. If you’re unsure if an event is for you, simply contact tastings@thewinesociety.com and we will try to help.
Do I get a discount on wines after events?
After our ‘in person’ events, we offer attendees a 10% discount on the wines we have shown, subject to availability. You will be provided with a private code after attending the event to redeem the discount

Yes. Please do feel free to join our waiting lists for sold out events. If tickets become available you will be contacted by email.
