Dorli Muhr's focus is firmly on precision and site expression, working with old vines in the region of Carnuntum, where a warm Pannonian climate is tempered by cool nights. This shows fragrant red cherry, cranberry and a touch of wild herb on the nose. The palate is finely etched, elegant and energetic, with bright acidity and supple, chalky tannins giving shape and length. There’s a lifted, savoury edge alongside the pure fruit and a sense of classy restraint. Elegant, poised and distinctly mineral, this is blaufränkisch with clarity and real finesse.
