Wines included

2021 - 2021

Blind Spot Tasmanian Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Serious and scintillating new Australian wine from Tasmania, this sauvignon blanc is a superb example of the variety. The Tasmanian acidity is keeping this wine fresh and vibrant. The nose is delicate and fresh, with green apple, lemon and peach notes and the palate is ripe, delicate and restrained, finishing with pear and gooseberry.

2019 - 2023

Cheverny 'Enclos du Petit Chien', Alpha Loire Domaines 2019

The Loire appellation of Cheverny blends sauvignon blanc with chardonnay, which rounds out the palate and in this case moderates sauvignon's vivid aromatics to its quieter grassy and gooseberry profile.

2020 - 2021

Cococciola Colline Pescaresi, Giuliana Vicini 2020

Cococciola is a rare and ancient Abruzzese grape variety that holds good acidity and, when yields are controlled, can make really characterful wine. This example is very distinctive, with a typically Italian bitter citrus-peel tang, while blood orange and apricot develop on this mouthwatering, dry and crisp white.

2021 - 2022

Cutio Macabeo, Carineña 2018

A round-textured floral and fruity Spanish white which has an appealing nuttiness from oak ageing. This comes from a small family project which is now run by third generation Jorge Nevascues.

2020 - 2022

Dourthe No 1 Sauvignon Blanc, Bordeaux 2019

From Dourthe, pioneers of modern Bordeaux sauvignon, comes this fresh white showing aromatic complexity and a charming, fruity palate.

2020 - 2021

Gaillac Perlé Esprit de Labastide, Cave de Labastide de Lévis 2020

With more of a prickle than a sparkle, this is a refreshing dry white from north-east of Toulouse in the south-west of France. Made from loin de l'oeuil, mauzac and a little sauvignon, it is perfect served chilled as an aperitif or with a simple dish of grilled prawns.

2021 - 2022

Grecanico, Conte di Matàrocco Terre Siciliane 2020

A charming refreshing white from Sicily with passionfruit and lime flavours, this has a lightness of touch but plenty of character and makes perfect summer sipping.

2021 - 2022

Klima Vidiano, Karavitakis 2019

Crete's native vidiano grape is known for its broad stone-fruit and melon flavours and ample weight on the palate. After spending 12 months on the lees this has developed spicy, smoky and white pepper complexity alongside rich apricot and tangerine notes. This Greek island white has been made available to us at an unbeatable price that makes it even more tempting.

2021 - 2023

Lowlands Single Vineyard Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2020

Irresistibly aromatic, mouthwatering sauvignon blanc which invites you to take a sip with its immediate charm. Peaches, limes and juicy mango fruit on the nose lead to a crisp fresh palate, with impressive focus and remarkable complexity for the price.

New Zealand
2020 - 2022

Orvieto Classico Superiore Castagnolo, Barberani 2019

Niccolò Barberani puts heart and soul into this brilliant Italian blend, which has deservedly become the most popular of a very high-grade range of wines Barberani makes, with its appealing citrus aroma and fresh appetising fruit.

2019 - 2021

Peltier Road Californian Sauvignon Blanc 2019

A little bit of Californian sunshine can be imagined when sipping this crisp, dry, pineapple and grapefruit-scented sauvignon.

2020 - 2021

St Andrea Napbor White Blend 2019

A fresh and generous Hungarian white blend from the region of Eger. This is fragrant with aromas of lemon-pith and nectarine with a full yet refreshing and mineral palate. Those who enjoyed The Society's Hungarian White should love this levelled up version of Egri Csillag.
