White Wine from France - Burgundy
One of the best, freshest and brightest village Chablis buyer Toby Morrhall has recently tasted, with fresh mineral aromas and taut, firm crystalline palate. This is a top class Chablis matured on the lees in tank for about 14 months before bottling. The reason for its outstanding freshness is that this comes from cool north- and north-west-facing vineyards, mainly situated in village of Fleys, with some in Chichée and Fontenay. There are 12 hectares of vines, aged 35 years and under. Famille Grossot have 17 hectares of vines in total, comprising Chablis and Chablis Premier Crus Vaucoupin, Mont de Milieu, Troëmes, Fourchaume and Les Fourneaux.
