From its loess-rich soils with small quartzite pebbles, the Krötenpfuhl is a warm vineyard site with a southern exposition. This is a charming wine that is bursting with fresh nectarine, white blossom and orange blossom and a delicate palate. A perfect wine for a summers day aperitif or with a crab and mango salad. Tonschiefer Dry Slate Riesling, Dönnhoff 2024
Mainly from the Oberhäuser Leistenberg vineyard, this is a dry riesling that has so much freshness and concentration. Expect stony, flinty and saline notes that balance perfectly with the fruity side to this wine. Great value. Drink this year to 2032. 12%

From the sundial vineyard of Zelting, the village after Wehlen and overlooking the river Mosel. The steep slopes are south-west facing and produce steely and floral rieslings. A delightful 2024 that is brimming with acidity, producing a tangy finish combined with spice and floral aromatics. The sweetness is so carefully balanced with the lively acidity. Thomas Haag has transformed this estate to one of Mosel's, and Germany's, top estates producing wines with finesse and exceptional balance.
