Rocco Pasetti was one of the very first to champion the excellent Abruzzo white grape pecorino, and he's become a bit of an expert. Green apple-scented with lemon rind and mineral notes on the linear refreshing palate this Italian white pairs wonderfully with fresh salads, seafood or herb roasted chicken.

The Society's Côtes-du-Rhône 2019
Ripe, fruity grenache-syrah blend from this outstanding producer in Vinsobres in the southern Rhône. The colour has depth and nose, beautifully marked by raspberry and redcurrant fruit. There is nothing heavy here, just loads of vibrant fruit.
Half bottle of The Society's Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine sur Lie 2019
Ripe and refreshing Muscadet from Chéreau-Carré in the western Loire Valley, this is the ideal accompaniment to shellfish, delicious on its own, but good too with chicken, charcuterie and much more.
Half bottle of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Vigna Corvino 2019
Rocco Pasetti makes the most attractive example we know of this wine, bursting with gutsy ripe cherry and redcurrant with plenty of spice on the finish. This wine comes from Rocco's home estate, and he is one of the most dynamic grower/producers in the Abruzzo region of eastern Italy, where Appenini meet Adriatic . A man of boundless energy as well as profound knowledge of the local terrain and grape varieties, he has created a model estate and winery to raise the wine to a higher level than is possible in the wine co-operative environment.
