A smooth, rich and oaky Rioja, made in the traditional style from 100% tempranillo aged in American and French oak for over two years (meaning it could qualify as a reserva). The fruit comes from vineyards in Rioja's Alavesa region which is renowned for the quality of tempranillo.

Plush, pure and vibrant Australian shiraz with rich red and blackberry-fruit notes, and a hint of violets and cassis. The palate is juicy and succulent with ripe tannins and a long, fruity, generous finish.

Merlot-based fruity and unoaked claret supplied for over a quarter of a century by family-owned Maison Sichel. Deliciously ripe and appealing with supple texture and a fresh finish.

This elegant Italian pinot grigio, made exclusively for us by New Zealander Matt Thomson working with the Cantina di Verona co-operative, really hits the spot. With lemon and ripe conference pear on the nose, this is refreshing and bright with a crisp, slightly salty finish.

One of the best-value whites from the south of France, now available in half bottle, this is dry with crisp freshness and a beguiling citrus and herb flavour. An ideal partner for white fish and seafood.

Rocco Pasetti was an early champion of the excellent white pecorino grape, and he's now an expert. With green-apple scent and lemon-rind and mineral notes on the linear, refreshing palate, this pairs well with fresh salads, seafood or herb-roasted chicken.

A fine and refreshing white from Gascony made from a blend of grape varieties that includes chenin and gros manseng for touches of tropical fruit and a flash of mouthwatering citrus.

Plump and generous, this is a great example of the full-flavoured, round and fruity style of Mâcon-Villages from the warm south region of Burgundy.

From famed Northern Rhône producer Guigal, this is a full-bodied and rich red that displays plenty of brambles and herbs combined with liquorice and graphite aromas. Dominated by syrah, there are lots of red-berry fruits and black pepper spice.

From a warm Loire vintage, this Muscadet has extra weight and tropical-fruit notes on the palate. Chéreau Carré, our trusted partner for over 30 years, expertly handled the vintage, making a wine that reflects the vintage but retains Muscadet's signature saline expression. Just before the river Loire spills into the Atlantic, it is joined by the Sèvre and Maine rivers. The vineyards around their confluence produce the best Muscadet, whose distinctive tangy flavour is enhanced by prolonged contact with the yeast lees produced during fermentation (sur Lie).
