A very high quality vintage in Napa and the Sonoma Valley. The harvest was very early with many varieties being picked almost simultaneously, and everywhere fruit quality and health was excellent. Further down the coast the situation was much the same with Central Coast and Paso Robles producing dark, intense reds and balanced, fruity whites.
