Hommage à Hubert Trimbach Riesling, Domaine Trimbach 2023
This wine is a UK exclusive to The Wine Society and is a fitting tribute to Hubert Trimbach, the 11th generation at the estate who sadly passed away in 2023. It is a selection of Trimbach's most prized sites, including Grand Cru riesling parcels. Following a wet spring, the summer of 2023 was warm and dry, with an Autumn that was sunny with big diurnal shifts, helping the wine to maintain the brisk acidity you would expect from the riesling grape. This white is bone dry and is aged in a mix of stainless steel and large foudres and the wine is aged on its lees to give additional breadth and creaminess to the core. Red apple, white peach, white pepper and pink grapefruit notes are supported by a restrained concentration on the palate. Drink from 2026 to 2036. 13%
