Wines included

2026 - 2027

Morellino di Scansano, Podere 414 2023

Generously flavoured, spicy red with the balance and structure to age well. 85% sangiovese and 15% bacca rossa, it's from a small organically farmed estate and offers red-berry fruit framed with cedar and a long silky finish. This is a great wine to pair with sausage and mash or mushroom risotto.

Italy £18.50 per bottle
2025 - 2028

Aglianico del Vulture, Calice Donato D'Angelo 2022

This small, family-owned estate has old aglianico vineyards that are at 500 metres on exposed volcanic soils, lending the wine a vivid freshness and a ferrous minerality to balance the concentrated red-plum and blackberry fruit. With powerful tannic structure and a dried herb lift, this is a full-bodied classic.

Italy £13.50 per bottle
2026 - 2029

Frappato Vittoria, Planeta 2025

Frappato can be seen as Sicily's answer to Beaujolais. Pale in colour and juicy in character, this example from Planeta is a step up from the simpler expressions; it is sappy and with a peppery edge on the palate, and bursting with pomegranate, red cherry and raspberry fruit. Supple, bright and refreshing, this is perfect lightly chilled.

Italy £16.50 per bottle
2026 - 2027

Vescovado Guardavalle Calabria Bianco, Santa Venere 2025

The guardavalle grape, native to Calabria in the toe of Italy and organically grown, has produced this wonderfully individual, salted-apple and quince-perfumed medium-bodied wine. Aromatic and expressive, with wild herbs and lemon balm notes, this finishes with a tangy orange-peel finish and a twist of spice. Guardavalle, confusingly also known as greco di Ciro but unrelated to the greco commonly grown in Campania, is an indigenous grape from a small town of the same name on the Ionian side of Calabria.

Italy £16.50 per bottle
2026 - 2028

Spoleto Trebbiano Spoletino, Scacciadiavoli 2025

Fresh, characterful Umbrian white with notes of citrus, white peach and wild herbs. Bright and textured, with lively acidity and a subtle savoury edge, it is a distinctive expression of the increasingly prized trebbiano Spoletino grape.

Italy £19.50 per bottle
2026 - 2028

De Falco Fiordilava Falanghina del Vesuvio 2024

From the volcanic slopes of Vesuvius, this expressive falanghina combines peach, apple and citrus flavours with a refreshing saline twist. Textured yet vibrant, with a lingering mineral finish, it captures the distinctive character of this historic wine-growing region.

Italy £16.00 per bottle
2026 - 2028
